Different from emergency incidents, major events have both positive and negative effects, and their occurrence will arouse widespread social concern. During their college years, students are in a critical period of growth and maturity in terms of ideology, behavior, psychology, and values. They are full of passion but lack social experience and have low ability to distinguish information. Colleges and universities can grasp effective information and form positive guidance immediately when a major event occurs. By leveraging the high attention brought by major events, they can develop effective strategies for college students' ideological and political education, ensuring that all links of such education achieve good results.
