Abstract

With the continuous development of the 3D animation industry, the industry's requirements for talents' practical abilities are constantly increasing. Problems in traditional 3ds Max course teaching, such as "emphasizing fragmented knowledge points over the comprehensive application of software skills" and "single evaluation criteria", have become increasingly prominent. Based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) concept, this study constructs a deeply integrated "online-offline" blended teaching mode, aiming to improve students' core comprehensive professional abilities and innovative thinking. Through investigations into local related industries, a capability matrix for 3D animation talents is built. The reverse design method is adopted to reconstruct course objectives and teaching content, and combined with online platforms such as Bilibili and project-driven teaching, a three-stage teaching closed loop of "pre-class guidance—in-class internalization—after-class expansion" is formed. Practice shows that this mode has significantly improved students' software application abilities and the quality of their works. For students majoring in Digital Media Technology and Computer Application Technology in our college, the assessment scores of the 3D MAX Animation Design course have been continuously improving, the number of awards in provincial and above competitions has achieved a breakthrough from zero, and the satisfaction rate of completed enterprise cooperation projects has reached 82%. The research provides a replicable implementation path for the teaching reform of 3D software courses, and also reveals key challenges such as hardware support and teacher transformation. In the future, we will further explore the application of generative AI technology in teaching and optimize the personalized learning support system.
