In recent years, there have been some new characteristics in the dissemination of music in China under the new media environment. The negative effects of online empowerment, such as manipulation by interest groups, rampant materialism, lack of elite culture, ambiguous roles of gatekeepers, and group polarization, presented in this process, must be highly concerned and valued. In view of this, this article explores the characteristics and phenomena of music dissemination in the current new media era from the perspective of network empowerment, including power relations, power elements, and power games. It also attempts to propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for music dissemination regulation paths that meet the needs of the times from the perspectives of power regulation and power balance.
